Project Overview

You will be assigned a dedicated Account Manager – regardless of whether you are ordering 1 chair or 10,000 chairs! Your Account Manager can work with you directly or with your interior designer and/or architect.
The project overview phase is an initial discussion about your project. It enables Prototype to understand your requirements in order to find the perfect furniture for your space, lead time and budget.

Quote Phase

Based on the kick-off discussions, your Account Manager will provide a quote for the project. Quotes vary based on lead time, quantity, materials, custom requirements, freight and labour.

If our initial quote is outside of your budget or expectations, Prototype can work with you to alter the quote. Whether that means recommending an alternative product, adjust the material selection, delivery times or custom elements. We will find the right solution for you.

Lead Times

Short Lead Time:

< 12 weeks

Prototype hold a small quantity of products in stock to cater for clients with short lead times.

Contact the team directly to discuss what items we have in stock. We can get items faster than the suggested lead time, but it may incur additional shipping cost.

Long Lead Time:

12 weeks+

Our average lead time for furniture from outside Australia is between 12-14 weeks.

Custom projects vary depending on the scale of the project and the complexity of your furniture piece. Generally our manufacturing team require a least 8 weeks notice for small jobs, and a minimum of 12-14 weeks for larger custom projects.

Delivery & Installation

Delivery Process

With Warehouses in all major cities in Australia, Prototype can easily deliver furniture to your door. The cost of freight can be included in your quote. Alternatively, customers can arrange their own freight and liaise with their dedicated Account Manager on collection.

On some occasions, clients choose to store their furniture at our warehouses until they are ready for installation. A storage service may incur additional fees.

Installation

Prototype pride ourselves in the passion and attention to detail on all our projects. Our operational teams travel to the site to ensure the furniture has arrived without transit damage and installed to the standards we expect.

Alternatively, if another contractor is scheduled to install all the furniture, Prototype can work directly with the contractor to arrange collection.
